Have some HELLBILLY BREW..............

Rob Zombie,will now turn his attention to coffee. Organic, fair trade certified, whole bean, French roast coffee, mind you. And when I heard the Lord of the Undead Hellspawn was churning out bags of his own “Hellbilly Brew,” I had to have a taste.

Unable to track down a legion of scythe-wielding archfiends and satanic liquid from the River Styx, I settled for a coffee grinder and a French press to brew my morning cups. Zombie’s people sent me two bags, one Organic French Roast and one Organic Peru. I drank both varieties black—of course—and was surprised by the flavors.

Neither roast conjured tasting notes of circles of the inferno, scantily clad zombie babes, nor even the charred nature of hellfire. These coffees, as one editor articulated, must come from Rob Zombie’s softer side. Which was welcoming, considering that most roasts are trending toward bigger, bolder, brasher flavors. Hellbilly Brew comes off light on the tongue, drinks smooth, and leaves you savoring its subtle flavors. You’re a complex man, Rob Zombie. Cheers to that.
